Government · Command room

A command room that doesn't blink.

In 2020, Magnaite designed and built the operation and control room for the Ministry of Environment, Water & Agriculture in Riyadh. Full scope — 3D design, climate control, structured cabling, video walls, computing infrastructure, electrical, and architectural finishes. It runs the ministry's monitoring operations 24/7.

A control room that has to never go down.

Government command rooms operate under different rules than commercial deployments. Uptime isn't a service-level target — it's a national-infrastructure requirement. The operators on the floor are monitoring data that affects water resources, environmental compliance, and agricultural planning across the kingdom. Anything less than continuous availability isn't acceptable.

The Ministry of Environment, Water & Agriculture needed a purpose-built operation and control room: not a converted office, not a refit of existing space — a room engineered from the architectural shell up, around the specific operational requirements of round-the-clock monitoring.

Designed, engineered, and built end-to-end.

Magnaite owned the project from concept through commissioning. 3D design and modeling so the Ministry could see the room before construction started. Climate control engineered for continuous equipment operation. Structured cabling designed for the specific data flows the operators would handle. Video wall installation — display, mounting, signal routing, fail-over. Computing infrastructure for the operator workstations. Electrical and architectural finishes to bring the space up to government standard.

Every layer specified, sourced, installed, and tested by Magnaite engineers. One firm responsible for the whole build — from the structural shell to the screens the operators look at every shift.

Running 24/7 since commissioning.

The MEWA command room has been operating around the clock since 2020. Magnaite continues to provide the maintenance and support contract that keeps it running — proactive monitoring, scheduled maintenance windows, and rapid response when something does need adjustment.

This is what end-to-end government work looks like at Magnaite: one firm responsible for the design, the build, and the ongoing operation. Not a project that ended at handover — a partnership that started there.
